Space X Launch Today to Test Key Component in Reusable Rocket Technology
Space X is one of the several companies involved in pioneering reusable rockets which, if successful, will make space flight much more affordable.
The fuel-carrying boosters detach from the space rocket body and fall back to earth once their cargo is safely in orbit.
In fact, the boosters’ re-entry is controlled to such an extent that they are intended to land on a ship waiting in the ocean.
Being able to re-use the rocket booster rather than having to make new ones from scratch could have an immense impact on the cost of successive launches.

Luxembourgian telecoms company SES will have one of its satellites, the SES-10, on board the March 30 Space X flight from Cape Canaveral, as Business Insider explains.
The satellite’s purpose is to provide TV and internet coverage for Latin American and the Caribbean.
The March 30 launch comes almost seven months after an unmanned Falcon 9 test-fire resulted in the destruction of the rocket as well as a $200 million USD Amos-9 satellite it was carrying for Facebook.
Space X-static test-fire of the SES-10 Falcon 9 completed successfully, it wrote in a Twitter post.
